Solo Mum Society Bali 2027
Your dream family holiday, with everything taken care of…
11–18 June 2027 | Grand Mirage, Nusa Dua | 7 nights | All-inclusive | Bookings 15–30 September
Imagine this…
You start your morning in paradise with a delicious buffet breakfast — fresh fruit, pastries, eggs made just how you like them, even pancakes for the kids. The hardest decision? What to eat first. You sip a hot coffee (yes, you finally get to finish it while it’s still hot!) as your kids giggle with their new friends at the table next to you. Around you, other solo mums are chatting, sharing stories, and soaking up the joy of starting the day relaxed.
After breakfast, you drop the kids off at the award-winning Kids Club, where they’re busy making friends and diving into activities. You join a couple of mums for a yoga class, then grab a fresh coconut to sip poolside. Afterwards, it’s time for a blissful in-room massage — no interruptions, no responsibilities.
You meet the girls for a cheeky mocktail in the adults-only pool, then pick the kids up and head to lunch together at one of the resort’s seven restaurants. Maybe it’s a casual poolside meal, maybe it’s something fresh and healthy, or maybe it’s burgers and ice cream because you’re on holiday. Everyone gets exactly what they want — and it’s all included.
The afternoon is for family fun. You take the kids out in a kayak, then relax on the lazy river with your new friends, before some waterslide action and a fancy cocktail at the swim-up bar. For an extra touch of magic, you booked a turtle release — a small extra, but worth every memory seeing the joy on your children’s faces.
Evenings are where the resort truly shines. Tonight you’ve chosen the buffet dinner with live entertainment. You pile your plate high with fresh, delicious food while the kids are mesmerised by the show. By 8:30, they’re happily tucked into bed, tired in the best way possible.
And you? You sink into a bath with dessert from room service and a drink from the minibar, catching up on your favourite show. No dishes, no laundry, no life admin — just ease.
The best part? From coconuts and coffees to mocktails and cocktails, from breakfast to dinner, snacks to room service desserts — it’s all included. Bliss.

What if I don’t want all-inclusive?
The group rate is only available for all-inclusive, as all guests need to be on the same package. Based on previous trips all-inclusive, as long as the price reflects our guests, does make the holiday easier and made people more likely to stay at the resort which was better for making connections:
It’s easier for budgeting as you know exactly what your costs are.
The majority of meals and drinks were purchased within the resort anyway, so all-inclusive means you don’t have to take money with you or lose track of what is charged to your room.
No large resort credit-card hold just so you can charge meals and drinks to your room. This hold was equivalent to $100AUD per night at other resorts and often took up to 14 days after the holiday to be released.
It makes things simpler and you can enjoy your holiday more as it’s all already paid for.
FAQs
-
No. You’ll have plenty of family time and freedom to do your own thing. The expectation is simply that you genuinely want to meet and engage with the wider group, because community is the reason this trip exists.
-
All children are welcome as long as they have a valid passport. Children under 4 will require a nanny to attend the kids club (which can be organised through the resort or many private companies).
-
Yes. This will need to be advised when making your booking and prices are shown above.
-
Connecting rooms are limited, so to guarantee a connecting room, the resort requires $30 USD per night, which can be added at the time of booking. You can otherwise request connecting, but this won’t be confirmed until check-in. If you know another mum going, it is a great way to be able to have extra support and company on the holiday after the kids go to sleep, etc.
-
As this resort has so much on offer, optional excursions will only be coordinated if there are enough people who want to go on them. This will be discussed in the WhatsApp chat and zoom calls once you have booked.
Private events you can prebook and pay for beforehand will be made available closer to the trip. In 2026 this included a private foam party, pre-booked turtle release, mermaid swimming lessons and a cultural dance class.
-
Once booking has been confirmed you’ll be added to a private WhatsApp community. This community will have separate chats for states so you can get to know others going before the trip. There will also be Zoom calls for connections and updates, and monthly emails with information, reminders and tips.
-
There are lots of opportunities to get to know the other mums coming on the trip beforehand with Zoom calls and a private WhatsApp community. It’s also recommended to connect with other mums in your state beforehand to make it less intimidating. Overall everyone is really warm and welcoming and a lot of the mums don’t know others, so you won’t be alone.
-
The resort listened to our feedback and has provided group pricing that reflects our guests and their needs. Removing the third-party booking agent for this trip has also reduced booking costs (this change is reflected in a slightly higher admin cost).
For the common family configurations shown, the 2027 resort package is approximately A$1,393–A$1,834 lower than the equivalent 2026 all-inclusive package using the indicative exchange rate used for comparison. The SMS admin fee was A$199 in 2026 and is A$399 in 2027.
Even allowing for the A$200 increase in the SMS fee, these common family configurations are still approximately A$1,193–A$1,634 lower overall than the equivalent 2026 all-inclusive trip.
-
Unfortunately, there are limited rooms available, and they are only able to reserve a limited number of rooms for us during this booking window. We will check with the Grand Mirage in the new year to see if any rooms are still available, which will likely be at a higher cost, but there are no guarantees. The resort has tried to make it easy for our families, with only a 30% non-refundable deposit being required during the booking window, and the rest of the payments due over two instalments in 2027.
-
Payment is made directly with Grand Mirage in Bali, so any international transaction fees your bank charges (in addition to Grand Mirage's 2.5% bank fee) will apply. It's worth checking with your bank or card provider before booking so there are no surprises.
-
All deposits and payments are non-refundable. If your circumstances change, you're welcome to explore transferring your booking to another solo mum — but you'll be responsible for finding a replacement and arranging the transfer of any payments already made between you and the other solo mum. It’s recommended you take out travel insurance in case you need to cancel and can’t find someone to transfer your booking to.
-
The trip is set as one 7-night package, so this isn't something we can offer this time.
The dates and length were negotiated as part of the whole group deal — that's part of what makes the rate possible, and it means everyone's together for the full experience, not arriving and leaving at different times.
If you'd like extra time in Bali, you're welcome to extend before or after the group week at the same rate.
-
To negotiate the rates I secured, everyone joining the trip must be on the same package.
The resort has also taken our families and their needs into consideration when pricing for our group.
Everyone being on all inclusive also makes it a lot easier once we are at the resort and means you don’t have to think about your budget before ordering another mocktail or room service.
-
The only way to join the Solo Mum Society trip is to book the available package. Many hours go into organising this trip, and people booking separately impacts my ability to negotiate good deals with the resort in future. I am also the one point of contact between the resort and the group, so booking directly dilutes this benefit for the resort, which may also impact future pricing, which impacts all mums looking to join.
You’re not just booking a room at a resort with other solo mums staying there, you are booking the community, the holiday and the experience.

"The best memories are made when it's just you and your little ones, embracing every moment together. As a solo mum, you're not just creating memories—you're creating a legacy of love, laughter, and unbreakable bonds."
