SMS Expert Session - What do you want your family to stand for?

Wondering how you’ll be able to buy your own home with one income and dependants?

Why do I keep struggling to prioritise the things I say matter to me?

A practical live workshop to uncover your real values, understand where your priorities are fighting each other, and build a clearer vision for the life and family you want.

Maybe you keep telling yourself that health matters, but it’s always the first thing to drop off when life gets busy. Maybe freedom is important to you, but you spend your weekends cleaning, decluttering and trying to get everything “just right” instead of actually enjoying your time. Maybe family time is one of your biggest priorities, but you keep saying yes to things that pull you away from it.

Sometimes the problem isn’t that you’re lazy, unmotivated or terrible at follow-through. Sometimes you’ve simply never stopped to work out what your real values are, where they sit in relation to each other, and which goals or expectations are actually fighting against them.

That’s what we’re going to work through together in this session.

I’ll take you through a guided values elicitation exercise from my Butterfly Blueprint work to help you identify your top five core values, then we’ll look at where your current goals, habits, commitments and “shoulds” are either supporting those values or quietly getting in the way.

From there, we’ll turn that clarity into something practical for your family: your Family Purpose, Family Vision and Family Mission, along with a simple blueprint you can use when you’re making decisions, setting boundaries or trying to work out what deserves your time and energy.

In this session, we’ll work through:

  • how to identify the values that genuinely matter most to you, rather than the ones you think should matter

  • how to narrow those down to your top five priorities

  • why some goals keep slipping to the bottom of the list, even when you keep telling yourself they’re important

  • where your current commitments, habits and expectations are in conflict with the life you actually want

  • how to spot the “shoulds” that are taking up time and headspace without adding much value

  • how to use your values as a filter for decisions and boundaries

  • what you want your children to feel and experience growing up in your family

  • how to create your own Family Purpose, Vision and Mission

  • how to turn all of that into a simple Family Blueprint you can actually use

You’ll leave with your top five values, a Values Conflict Audit, your draft Family Purpose, Vision and Mission, and a one-page Family Blueprint to help you work out what gets a yes, what gets a no, and what probably needs to stop taking up so much space in your life.

This session will be most relevant for women already raising their children, but you can absolutely do this work while trying to conceive or during pregnancy. The earlier you get clear on what matters to you, the longer you get to build a life around it.

Led by Alisha Burns

This workshop draws on exercises from her Butterfly Blueprint framework to help you get clearer on what actually matters to you, where your priorities are competing, and how you want those values to shape the life and family you’re building.
